Welcome to our 2013 Professional Learning and Development (PLD) programme. The overarching theme is The school library contributing to student learning.
We are offering three online courses for 2013:
You’ll be able to join with participants from anywhere in New Zealand on these courses, delivered on Moodle, and led by our trained e-facilitators.
Initially we’re offering a choice of three sets of dates, but if these become oversubscribed we’ll create further repeats so that nobody will miss out.
Maximum numbers will be 20 participants for each course. You don’t have to be an experienced e-learner – we welcome those new to online learning, as well as those who have taken part in online learning already.
Time requirements: a minimum of about five hours per week.
Several new one-day courses are included in the 2013 programme, and our annual three-day course for new members of the library team is always updated each year.
We’re also offering a range of free short workshops, mostly delivered after school:
For further information on each, and delivery locations, please scroll through the Course catalogue.
Course participants will be supported to design and implement their own library-based student learning initiative, to support the learning of a selected group of students in their own school community, following each course.
This year we’ve increased the Earlybird discount to 20%. It applies to all registrations (including for online courses) received by the stated Earlybird close-off date, after which the full course fee applies.
For Term 2-4 courses, the Earlybird close-off is four weeks prior to course date. In Term 1 the close-off date is three weeks prior to the course.
Registrations close two weeks prior to each course, including online courses - except for free workshops, when they close one week prior to the workshop.
Select your location on the right-hand sidebar, select the desired course, and you’ll then see the online registration form.
The Terms and Conditions are attached.
