WIth the school holidays fast approaching and the ever increasing raft of social networking tools, content, and applications I want to tell you about this great, starter kit that I've come across.
As part of the U.S. Dept of Education's Connected Educator month in August the "Connected Educator starter kit" was created for educators preparing to come back to school after the long summer break.

Hello!
How is the reading going?
I devoured Red Rocks in one sitting and was too absorbed to even break for wine and nibbles. I’m not sure I can give it higher praise than that :)
I am eager to discuss many aspects of the book, but I thought we could start with something several people mentioned in the comments last time: the wild Wellington coastline and the role the rich setting plays in the story.
WARNING: There may be spoilers ahead! I will not discuss the end of the book this week, but the first half is fair game.

Disclaimer - I am not a school librarian. I work in a special library so have no experience of how a good school library should work.
I am reaching out for some advice from the experts (you!) in the school library community in Wellington. (Or anyone else with advice).
