The sunbird : a story from Warburton Community by Warburton Aboriginal Community with Liz Thompson.

Meet the Warburton community. They live in a desert in Western Australia.

The sunbird by Warburton Aboriginal CommunityThe Warburton community have a story they want to tell you. It’s about a magic man who gets greedy and uses his power to hurt his people - but when he’s been taught a lesson, he turns into the sunbird and eventually helps his people.

They also want to tell you a bit about themselves and their Ngaanyatjarra country, and what this story means to them. They hope you’ll learn quite a lot about their special culture. So pick up this book and see what you think - if you like it, there are others in this excellent  “Sharing our stories” series too.
