This website has a huge amount of information on the region including, history, flora, fauna, environment and science, islands and ocean. It includes images, film footage and maps.

The Kermadec Expedition

In May 2011 a group of scientists visited the Kermadec region on a biodiversity expedition. Their goals included documenting the marine biodiversity of the Kermadec Islands and discovering new marine species. The website includes image galleries, news and a comprehensive daily blog including video diaries and their discoveries.

The Kermadec Nine

In May 2011, a group of artists from the South Pacific region travelled on HMNZS Otago to the sea and islands of the Kermadecs. This site explores that journey and the inspirational artworks they created after. The work created included film, sound, painting, tapa cloth, sculpture, poetry, sketches, maps and much more.
