Creative Commons Licensing for Schools: Auckland workshop

Auckland Museum
Promote event

Principals, teachers and school library staff are warmly invited to register for one of these three free sessions on copyright and Creative Commons licensing in Auckland (March 13), Christchurch (March 12) and Wellington (March 17). The panel will be discussing how teachers and students can easily, freely (and legally) share, adapt and reuse resources they find online.

Speakers include: copyright lawyer Andrew Matangi, who helped to write the New Zealand CC licence; Stephen Lethbridge and Mark Osborne, who both implemented CC licensing at their schools; Keitha Booth, who runs the open government programme; and Carolyn Stuart, from Network for Learning. I’ll also give a beginner’s introduction to Creative Commons for anyone who doesn’t know who we are.

The format will be short, sharp lightning talks, followed by panel discussion and questions. To find out more, and register, please visit: www.creativecommons.org.nz/schools

If you’re especially keen, it would be a fantastic help if you could also put up a poster at your school! http://creativecommons.org.nz/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/CCANZ-Flyer1.pdf
