Join us for refreshments and our AGM followed by a special screening of Library of the Early Mind: a documentary film exploring children’s literature.

“Library of the Early Mind is an exploration of the art and impact of children’s literature on our kids, our culture, and ourselves”.

The film features nearly 40 prominent authors and illustrators talking about their work, its genesis and its impact.

The conference will:

• lift the profile of the school library in the eyes of the school and wider community; and
• provide inspiration and strategies for school librarians, library staff and teachers to work together in meeting the diverse needs of learners.

Keynote speakers include Tara Brabazon, Cathy Wylie, Professor Erica McWilliam, Dr Susan Sandretto

Event Introduction:

With guest speaker:  Matt McGregor: ‘Creative Commons and Copyright –
sharing, adapting and reusing resources legally within your school community’.

The AGM will follow our guest speaker and the morning tea break.

Michelle Simms will then chair: ‘A Library UnConference: Share your ideas, tools, or Great New Books!

The meeting will close at 12:30pm with lunch at a local cafe.
