The National Library provides services and support to schools, learners and educators.

Services to Schools supports literacy and learning by delivering programmes and services that aim to:

  • create engaged and motivated readers
  • develop skilled users and creators of information
  • connect young people to their culture and heritage
  • develop library and information services.

Our services to educators include Curriculum Services, which lend over 1.5 million resources to support teaching programmes. Advisory Services offers advice on all aspects of school library development and management. It also delivers professional development and targeted programmes supporting literacy and learning.

Our Advisory Service

The Learning Studio - Auckland: The Learning Studio is a dedicated space for educators to work and collaborate. The latest technology is available to repurpose digital resources to create innovative learning objects for the classroom.

Any Questions: Any Questions offers online homework help to New Zealand school students. You can log onto the AnyQuestions.co.nz website between 1pm and 6pm Monday to Friday and talk to a real person about your homework.

Many Answers: ManyAnswers.co.nz contains hundreds of answers to the most popular questions asked on AnyQuestions.co.nz and UiaNgaPatai.co.nz. Open all day every day, there are answers in both English and te reo Māori. We have entries for primary, intermediate and secondary students.
